When will Etihad start to refurbish their fleet? (seats)

Hi all, just flew A6-ETE (older 2-class 777-300) from AUH to BKK operating as EY 404 on 5 July. Seat covers in both Business and Economy have been refreshed to the latest design (brown and black) though the hardware remains the same. For Business Class, that means your PTV is set slightly further away from you and there is no side table with water bottle holder. Bulkheads have not been changed, wall lights remain as the round ones and some USB charging ports were not working.

EY102 and EY103 are operated by Jet Airways aircraft leased by EY (regs: A6-JAA and A6-JAB). There is a seperate thread discussing this topic, where you will find more information:

just picking up on this thread...

Is the new business class/refreshed stripes... now flying on all EY flights between LHR and AUH now?

Flight out will be A346 and return 77W.

Same here, except for the fact that I'm interested in the CDG-AUH leg (A346) and in AUH-BKK (77W).

I doubt that the gas guzzler A346 will ever be refurbished in J.
The 77W should be fine and have the new (beige) J cabin

According to an earlier post, 4 out of 7 A346 have been refurbished.
Would be interested in hearing if someone can confirm this.

A6-EHJ has recently received a new config - 8F 32J 276Y (ie: 4 F class seats have been removed).

Does anybody know if it now has the new J class seats or the upgraded old J class?

Oh, nice trick just changing the seat cover. They probably borrowed this concept from my son's car baby seat ...

Sorry to dig up this old thread but I thought it might be most appropriate place to ask. With the business studios and First apartments appearing on the A380 & 787, the 777's are next in time to be refurbished. Work was supposed have started in May of 2014 which would span 4 years (apparently starting with the oldest 77W's)

Has anyone had any experience with the new business studio on a 77W yet? I have scoured the net, but was unable to find any information about which 7's are going under refurb first....

any help much appreciated .
