Hi
Sorry to hear this. I'm also going on the EK002 in the end of March and I have to admit that part of the reason for choosing Emirates was the fact that I'll be getting to fly the A380 for the first time. SO I hope that this will not happen when I'm supposed to take of.

Agreed. One of the things I like about FT is the overall decent standard of literacy. "Text speak" stands out a mile is rightly frowned upon.

So what is reason why EK is kick out of A380 aircraft due to equipment change. So I'm sure if EK will expected to have reinstates from 77W to A380 aircraft if they have more capacity passengers. I can't guarantee that where A380 will flying somewhere else.

On my Feb 1 flight on a 777-300ER that was substituted for an A380, the flight service seemed to be in a state of confusion. The snack in business class consisted of nuts. Fortunately the nuts were excellent. Something like a cheese tray after the main meal would have been great. The staff was pleasant and tried real hard to make things work. They had only one "meal-list/menu" so when it got misplaced, the staff had some difficulty answering questions about the food. My EK flight 10 hours before, a regional 6 hour business class flight, had actual menus and wine lists for each business class customer, unlike the DXB-JFK flight.
