Upgrading to B-class on Emirates
I've been all over the Emirates website to try to find info on upgrade rewards, but can't find anything except a phone number - I've been on hold forever, so thought someone on here might be able to help me quicker!
Can I use Skywards points to upgrade from economy class to business? If so, how many would I need for NYC-Male? How about just DXB-Male? Are there any restrictions on having to be elite? Am trying to sort out honeymoon and looking at all possibilities so we don't have to fly in the back.
Thanks so much!

Yes- if you have the miles and there is availability. As suggested, use the Skywards site to check the mileage needed. Then either phone Skywards (not Emirates) or go to the "Manage Booking" part of the Emirates site and look for the Upgrade Online tab on your booking.

And one advise to you: Make sure you call your local Skywards centre, or the european Skywards centre in Dublin/Manchester. The Dubai Skywards callcentre has proven many times that they're not really helpful or flexible when it's getting tricky.

You can save yourself the trouble of phoning the service centre by checking for business class upgrade availability yourself on seatcounter dot com.
Upgrades using miles from Economy books into 'C' class. Redemption business tickets using miles books into 'D' class (sadly seatcounter does not show this).
