EK is flying DXB-MLE nonstop now?
Yup; I have been flying this route for a few years now; although, I should mention that on the return, EK does MLE-CMB-DXB, with a 1 hour stop for picking up more passengers from Colombo; for people who love to fly, it's really not that much of an inconvenience, especially if one enjoys take offs and landings.

I don't think so. However, following the demise of EOS, I should imagine that the lounge will be very quiet.

Cheers,
Rick

Not sure about the JFK lounge, but you can buy access to the Marhaba lounge
in DXB. Don't remember the cost, but I think its around $25 USD

I was told at the F check in desk a couple of days ago that there had been some unexpected delays and they were looking at a date around March 1st. Seems as though they had isssues with customs on some of the furnishings.

Too bad. I just flew from there and not having the lounge was a big letdown. I really thought it would be open by our next trip in February. Had a horrible meal at the Palm last time and the voucher did not go very far anyway. The business class voucher is $40. How much is the first class voucher worth?

F passengers get $55 each. The Palm is generally not that good so we went to the Caviar House which was decent but of course overpriced. Shake Shack may be the best option after all.

Just FYI, if anyone is connecting through JFK with a long stopover, get an Uber to New Park Pizza in Queens. Thank me later.
