Change flight date
Hello, I think I've come to the right place to get an answer for this question: I have purchased a ticket online from dubai to sydney on 18th dec, do you think there's a way to change the dates of my flight? it's economic class. Thanks.

If you want to bring your travel forward, you could but only on 13 Dec, there are some seats on EK418 in F, Y/W, and a couple Y on EK412.
As for later dates:
23 Dec, only 1 seat in F on EK412
24 Dec, few seats in F on EK418
25 Dec, 1 seat in F, couple J/C on EK412
As far as using your miles, if your booking was on EK412, you could do so but only on the 25th.
That's all I could think of, hope it helps.

Thanks for the fast reply.
I was thinking 26 or 27. I need two economic seats (me and my wife). Is that available? and if so, how can I change the dates? I tried online and I can only change seats/passenger info not dates. How much will it cost?
Many thanks.

I checked right through 31st, economy looks closed throughout.
There are couple J seats here and there.
I doubt you could change your reservation to the dates you wanted, unless:
- You are a skywards gold member; and
- hold a flexible fare ticket ( I think M and above - could be just W/Y)
Check the fare conditions on your tickets for that sort for changes etc. Usually they don't charge for change of dates; As for the way to do it, just give Emirates a call.
Cheers

Thanks for the support.
I just checked the website, there are available slots on 25th on economy, I called Emirates but they said they can't change to that date because the website have some seats for NEW tickets only!
Can I ask for a refund and reserve new tickets? are all emirates tickets refundable? The lady on the phone said it will cost 25$ to refund for each ticket. But I'm not sure if my ticket is refundable or not. How can I check?
Bottom line, I need a way to travel on 25th and will tolerate paying 50$ for this. How can I achieve this asap before the remained seats go away?
Many thanks.

I have purchased two tickets on 24th, there was available places on 24,25,26,27. I picked 24 because it was about 220$ cheaper. The final cost from DAM to SYD per ticket is about 1400$.
Now I have two question:
1- I have mistakingly put my wife as MR not MRS, would this cause any problem?
2- What seats should I pick? This is my first time on Emirates, and most seats on my flights are empty. What do you recommend for seats preference?
My flights are:
EK 914
EK 384
EK 418

1- I doubt they would say anything; it should be fine. My TA once put me as MRS and did not get any problems whatsevover.
2- Ah this clarifies your routing. I would try and get row 16 aisle seats, it's right behind business, and youll get enough leg room to place a bag as leg support.
Hope this helps

Just been with CS asking if I was to change my return trip ex-SYD to depart from MEL instead;
They claimed 'no seats' are available, but availability on EK405 shows:
F4 A0 J7 C0 Y9 W9 M0 B0 K0 H0 Q0 L0 T0 V0
He even went on to say that the flight is closed!
Interesting, hmm..
