Cancelling an Emirates flight
I've booked a flight on Emirates (JFK-DXB-JFK), but some other, better options have become available so I'm considering canceling. A few questions:
How do I determine the fare class from my eReceipt?
What's the penalty for canceling in various fare classes?
Will I get a refund to my credit card or future travel credit?

You are able to make cancellations on the Web Site from the "My Itineraries" section. Modifications to your booking cannot be made on the Web Site; they must be made via your local Emirates office. You may, however, cancel your trip via the 'My Itineraries' section. You will then be subject to the fare rules that you agreed to when you confirmed the booking. You are required to contact one of our offices to arrange for any refunds. You may book flights up to 338 days before departure. You can pick up your tickets from locations listed during the booking process or you can choose to have your tickets delivered. Please note tickets can be collected only in your country of departure and deliveries can only be made in your country of departure. If you choose to collect tickets from one of our offices, it must be completed within the time specified during booking process, failing which your booking will be automatically cancelled.

there should have been t and cs on the eticket
there was on mine
its usually $US200 for the cheaper Y class but check the t and cs they credited my CC and you have to go to the website and fill in a form
otherwise just calling wont get your money back!
they dont tell you that when u cancel
they make u wait 6-8 weeks and call and call then someone mysteriously says "well did you fill out the form on the website"
I wonder how many people just forget to check that the money has gone back on the CC?

The only link in the email is to the generic terms & conditions, which says nothing about cancellation fees.
