77w

Hey All,

Anyone have real-life pictures of the 77W in J? I tried a.net but only A340, etc came up.

Thanks,

Have a look on the Emirates website. There's a section which gives pictures of the seat and cabin.

Cheers,
Rick

Note that those pictures are of the new B777-300ER planes only (which is only a minority of the 77W fleet.)

The regular / majority of the 77W's look like this:

J Class Seat

The lie-flat / big TV J seats are only on some 777-300ER flights. The majority of them still have the older cradle seats.

Hi Sadiq,

Is it possible to tell which of the 777-300er's have the new seats? I am booked on EK004 (LHR-DXB) J Class on 20 March 2007. Assume this is quite a popular route/time so hoping that they may have a new plane.

Any input (especially re. plane and best seat in J class) would be very greatly received.

Many thanks,

Benji

My two flights HAM-JFK-HAM this month had the "old" cradle seats, which are still quiet comfortable.

Look out if you're on a overnight flight, though. When those seats recline they're right in your lap, pinning your feet and legs to the leg rest if it's up.

A comparison of the 2 777-300ER Business Class seats are available over here: http://www.emirates.com/miniSites/Bo...firstCabin.asp

No they don't. You weren't on a 77W (as as been pointed out at least twice). The pitch on the 77W is far better than the old 777-300.

Cheers,
Rick

I might be wrong on this one, but from my experiences with EK over the last three or four years the strategy is to use new planes on new routes in order to get the business running and use rather old planes for very popular routes.

I got a brand spanking new plane about a month ago on the DXB-BKK route. I'm pretty sure that is not a new route, but, rather a very popular route.
