Since EK is leaving DL as a partner at the end of this month. I just tried to book EK in F for two people for a weekend in Feb, Mar, or Apr. Was able to get the one-stop in HAM in early Mar on the 777.
Would like to hear some opinions on the the 777 F cabin, seats and service especially compared to the A345.
We're just trying to burn up some miles and was hoping to experience the A345 F cabin so not sure if we really want to go on the 777 .

what is your exact date in March? IIRC, EK is changing from a 77W to a 345 on the JFKHAMDXB route sometime in March so you may get lucky

Seems like its still the 77W on your flight dates:

Ok - now I have reservations on hold for these dates and just wanted to confirm that all the 345s have the "cabins" in F hopefully. Thanks!!!

Don't hold me to this, but I *think* that if you take 2 side cabins behind eachother you would be able to see eachother through the side of the plane wall. If you do take the side cabins and you miss eachother, you can also call one another for free on the Emirates telephone

Emirates' indecisiveness is rather surprising... it's not a matter of switching between planes that have a similar number of seats - it's a matter of switching between a 12/42/304 (358 total) seat plane and a 12/42/204 (258 total) seat plane.
So EK is basically deciding whether or not it can fill these extra 100 a day ( ) seats on the DXB-HAM-JFK route.

With that being said - it is really a complete tossup because we don't know EK's rationale.
