Help !!!

I recently took an Emirates flight from JFK to DXB. I asked that the miles earned be put into my Delta account. I gave them the Delta number at the time of the reservation.

Well, nothing has ever been put into my Delta account. Emirates said there is nothing they can do and it is up to me to send Delta the boarding cards to get the miles.

I do not have the outbound boarding pass. I have the return boarding pass and the ticket receipt.

Is this enough for me to get those 14,000 miles I earned. Any suggestions?

Also, how dare Emirates not send over the info to Delta !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When did you fly? I'd suggest leaving it 8 weeks before following it up (that's how long some EK flights took to post to my UA account earlier this year)

Don't panic and wait!
As Swiss Tony wrote you, it always take some time until the miles are visible in your partner account.
Friends and relatives who used their UA-account waited sometimes more than 8 weeks, but in the end never had a problem.

By the way, how was your flight? Was the seating o.K. in economy during such a long flight time? How was the passenger load on this new route?

It was great

When I flew JKF-DXB in June, the passenger load was only 50 for the entire plane both directions. So, I had a great flight. The passenger loads are steadily increasing day by day and I think soon the plane will be crowded.

The flight crew were all young and somewhat inexperienced. However, that was not a problem because since they were young, they were eager to please. Some airline long-haul routes have flight attendants that have 25+ years experience, old enough to be a grandmother, and are totally fed-up with the job, their employer, and any passenger request. This was NOT the situation on Emirates !!! I prefer a young cabin crew that is not burned out and still enjoys the job. If they make a mistake, so what ??? They are learning.

The plane itself was a marvel. Boeing better watch out. The Airbus 777 is fabulous.

Good to know it all worked out OK - but be careful before pointing any blame at EK as opposed to DL for the delay in posting the miles.....

The aircraft was an Airbus A340-500. Emirates was the first airline to fly this type of long distance aircraft (last december). Now Singapore Airlines is operating it too.

Congratulations for your miles in your account. It wasn't too long!
