How do I get my ticket?

I'm trying to book a pair of one-way BKK-HKG tickets on Emirates using its web site; however, the web site for some reason won't allow me to send the tickets to my address in the United States. And they don't have electronic ticketing. It seems that I can only pick up a ticket in my departure city, which is about 5,000 miles away. Any idea how I get around this?

I had a similar problem booking a ticket originating in DXB. The way I got around it was to book the same flight on Expedia or Travelocity or one of the other such sites who act as agent for EK. I found the flight to be the same price and they would (and indeed have) delivered my tickets to my address in the UK.

I had the exact same problem but I was booking HKG to BKK (roundtrip). I don't think there's any way around this on their website. I wound up trying their U.S. partner airlines' websites and the only one that came up with the Emirates flights I wanted was United (I hate paying Expedia and Travelocity those booking fees when I can avoid them, especially since they were going to charge me to issue a paper ticket in this case). Surprisingly, united.com was offering the same flights for $100 less per ticket than Emirates! Booking this flight has been strange all around. The Emirates flight turned out to be $200+ while Cathay and Thai Airways were both $600+. Still waiting for the paper ticket in the mail from United. I hope this all works out O.K...
