Transit in DXB - strange experience

Good day.
I would like to share something that happened to me with you and to hear your opinion
on my last travel i had 3 hours transit in DXB
I fly business class and in check in they had a problem with issue the luggage tag in the counter, so they use another counter to issue it. but boarding passes to the 2 flights was issued. The second flight was with Fly Dubai
In Dubai we went to Emirates Business lounge gave our boarding pass got the gate number and went in.
We went to the gate for boarding and then we been notified that we been removed from the flight and also our luggage's
We asked why? but no real answer for it. eventually they manage in the gate to put us and our luggage on the flight. I asked again how it could be that we are in the airport with boarding pass and kicked out from the flight, the supervisor told me we will tell you after you fly. of course, nothing.
I wrote a letter and the answer from Emirates was as follow
Dear Mr F
Thank you for contacting Emirates.
We are sorry to learn of the inconvenience you and Ms F experienced during your transfer in Dubai, on Emirates flight EK2... from Dubai to ....... on 28 May 2025.
We have obtained a detailed report from our airport team in Manila and Dubai which indicates that due to a system glitch in Manila airport , you and Ms F were not through checked in to your onward flight to ...... on 28 May 2025.
We note that eventually our staff in Dubai assisted you with the check-in process and you travelled along with your baggage as per your original booking to .
As a goodwill gesture, we are pleased to offer you and Ms F 25,000 complimentary Skywards miles each which will be credited to your respective Skywards accounts within 3 business days.
Thank you for giving us this opportunity to explain our position. We look forward to welcoming you and Ms F onboard our flights again and hope that your future travel with us will be enjoyable.

These things happen. At the end of the day you were able to get on your flight and were offered some compensation for the inconvenience . I would say that you should be satisfied with both the explanation and the compensation.

There was a hiccup in the system, it was dealt with and your travel was completed as planned. As a bonus you were given 25,000 miles each for the slight disturbance.
Nothing more needs said or done IMO.

He is new to FT (welcome, by the way) and he was (understandably) surprised by the 'glitch' (I think most of us would have been). So he asked if anyone here can shine another light on this.
Agree it's a good outcome.
(mrs t and I once got 110K Skywards each for an irrops issue which caused a 25 hour delay. Plus the hotel, meals etc. Was during Covid. We were delighted with that one!)
