Has anyone else heard that children under the age of 8 are no longer allowed to sit in F on EK flights?
Was told by a crew member that the alleged "rule" came into play on August 15th.

Maybe..... I can only hope.... after my recent experience with the 18-month-old with his mum. ;-)
But I cannot find anything - nothing in the Emirates Media Centre, and when I try to book a child into F with me, it lets me go all the way to the payment page with a 5-year-old.

While it would be a welcome policy (Im saying this as someone who doesnt have kids yet so my opinion on this will eventually change!) I highly doubt this will be enforced.
Think about how many wealthy families have taken up multiple F seats with their children/Nannies etc.
I would expect some sort of uproar from them, forced to have to fly J or at the very least keep the nanny and kids in J

I cannot imagine why Emirates would do this.
From my own experience going back 26 years with Emirates, I can't think of a single flight where children were any kind of issue.
Maybe I have just been extremely lucky!

I doubt thats real, but if it is it will be tested the first time a well-connected Emirati family are denied a booking.
At the end of the day, the airlines make money by selling seats. If banning infants was a winning commercial strategy, it would be more common (can only think of MY who do it).

Perhaps children under the age of 8 traveling alone are not allowed to sit in F is the new rule?
I also cannot imagine a blanket ban would last and wouldn't agree with it even as someone that does otherwise believe in adult only spaces in hotels / restaurants etc. The adult, ahem, local passengers who don't seem to believe in the existence of headphones and watch videos / do calls on speakerphone are far more vexatious than any children who don't know better...

I do agree with that!
Adults are much more likely to be objectionable.
An indicator that Emirates are doing this is if the UAM designation of a seat in F disappears. However, I think minors are classified as being under 12, not sure.
So perhaps that's not a good indicator!

Exactly! I have seen many objectionable adults in all cabins. Really nice objectionable kids are very rare.

apparently this is true for miles upgrades (maybe total rewards) but i don't know the exact details but aged 8 was mentioned
of course if you pay then you pay and that's allowed - there were 7 kids in f on my flight from GLA yesterday - mine was 7, the rest from about 18 months to about 10, it was noisy 😂

Must have been on the inbound journey by DXB based passengers, cannot believe you could find 7 Scots who would spring an F fare for their kids

SEVEN kids in F? How many of them had their own suite? That could be half the suites occupied by kids (although I suspect at least the 18 month old did not have his / her own one).

Lets say they were definitely a well connected local family
