Baggage allowance with interline?
I'm flying SAI-SGN-DXB-GLA. The entire ticket was bought together from Emirates, but the SAI-SGN segment is on K6 with a K6 flight number. SAI-SGN is in economy and SGN-DXB-GLA is in business (I originally bought Economy Flex and upgraded with miles for the Emirates segments (it appears I can't upgrade the K6 segment).
I'm a little bit confused about my baggage allowance. Economy Flex offers 30kg, Business offers 40kg, and K6 offers 23kg for economy. My understanding is that EK allows multiple pieces of luggage, while K6 only allows one.
I don't see what my baggage allowance is on the manage my booking page. Any idea what it should be?

In some instances the baggage allowance is based on the "Most significant carrier", but in others is based on the first carrier.
Look on the PDF ticket from Emirates they would have emailed you, see if that shows any baggage allowance information. You may have to call or chat EK and see what they say.
I think in this scenario K6 is going to say their baggage allowance applies and you will be only allowed 1 checked at 23kg. I have flown K6 quite a few times and their ground staff are not all that helpful so I wouldn't even expect them to honor even if Emirates says it is higher. They are also strict on carry-on, so when they say 7kg they mean 7kg so don't try to bring a bunch of cabin baggage.
Unrelated side note, K6 has re-branded as Air Cambodia as of Jan 2025 from Cambodia Angkor Air.

I contacted Emirates and they said it's 30kg with multiple pieces on K6, and 40kg on the EK flights. They sent me an itinerary that says 30kg but doesn't mention that it can be multiple pieces.
Having taken K6 before, I am very worried they will try to enforce 23kg and 1 piece. Not sure what I should do if that happens.

So a little update. Two chat support agents at Emirates told me that my baggage allowance was 30kg on K6 and 40kg on EK, but nothing on any of my tickets, itineraries, etc. confirmed this. In the app and on all documents my baggage allowance was 30kg for all segments.
When I got to the check-in counter for K6 and they looked up our tickets we were told I had a 25kg allowance. They were only willing to pursue researching it further because my pdf ticket said 30kg. The entire check-in process took more than twenty minutes while the K6 staff tried to confirm that we had a 30kg allowance, but eventually they did. They were very nice but I would not be confident this would happen every time.
The real issue in this situation is that I had two EK flights of 7-8 hours each and one 1 hour K6 flight. Both EK flights were upgraded to business and the K6 flight did not offer a business class ticket, so the baggage rules of our original tickets, Economy Flex 30kg, applied to the entire journey, rather than the 40kg rules that would have applied if they used the "most significant carrier" model. This is obviously annoying because we lost one of the benefits of upgrading to business class.
