So this week I finally flew first class in Emirates. The crew was fantastic. Only 3 out of 8 seats were occupied in first class.

There were a few hiccups but nothing that would change how great it was. The media entertainment system was malfunctioning and couldn't see the front camera during take off. Mid flight the crew was kind enough to move me to the other side of the plane to be able to watch the content, so no harm, no foul. The other problem is that the flight was turbulent (this is not on Emirates, of course) and it took me forever to relax because I'm an anxious flyer (apple watch kept warning me of elevated heart rate for half of the flight). Talked to the flight attendant and he said that the way into Seattle was much worse.

Of course, I did all the big hits. Dom Perignon (only after we were flying due to taxes), the 40 year old port, etc. Felt great. It's amazing how isolated you feel there as if you're flying by yourself, especially in a cabin that was mostly empty.

Oh well, my flight back is a week from now in business class. I hope I get a smoother flight. I've done this route a couple of times and it was always smooth.
