Skywards Points Confusion

Hi there,

In Jan 2021, I booked 2 x tickets with Skywards points out of Manchester to Dubai. Outward was in Business (Saver) and Inward was First (Flex). This cost 225,000 in Skyward points.

If I look now to fly the same route using the Emirates Calculator as a reference, it's hard to get a calculation where one leg is in Business and the other in First. For instance if I use the calculator to look at a First Class, I see "Not Applicable" if this is the case, how did I book it?!

In essence, I'm trying to work out how I managed to book Business and First for 225,000 as the calculator doesn't seem to let me get anywhere near this figure?

I really hope that makes sense!

Thanks

I don't think First Saver awards exist anymore. I copy from the small print in the mileage calculator:

"First Class Flex Classic Rewards will be available for travel until 30 June 2021.
For travel from 1 July 2021 onwards, only First Class Flex Plus Classic Rewards will be available for all First Class one-way and return bookings"

Thatll be the answer then. Theyve removed Flex and I booked before June. Makes a massive difference to the points requirement.

Yes they made a big song and dance about a sale on purchasing miles then added a deval straight after.

How do I book Flex and Flex Plus awards?
I only see an option for Saver.

Why would you want to?

I believe flex awards only show if saver isn't available.

I click on classic awards and then indicate I want a first class round-trip award.
It shows me the date and then says class of service isn't available and says it is business class.
However, it then doesn't offer a flight.

I would guess there is no First Class cabin on the route which generates the first message, and no Business Class awards available, only revenue tickets, which generates the second. Giving more details would help confirm or otherwise.

Requesting first class IADJFK/BOS-CMB around Feb 20-25 return March 1-5.
I enter the dates and get a big date matrix.
I then click on the dates I want which shows 235,000 + $539.
There is a banner with this:
  • There are no First Class fares available for the dates you selected. We’ve provided Business Class fares instead.
I then click continue and get this:
Warning:
  • Sorry, we were unable to find flight options to match your search. Please try a different search, or try your original search again later.
I can get it to work if I do something simple like JFK-MXP.
What I don't understand is why it doesn't offer the higher level awards for IAD-CMB.
