Whereas a few days ago, I was able to book Syd-DXB on the 31st of May (and I booked), now when I search again, there are no flights on that route until 31st of June. They still seem to be reshuffling. My ticket was not cancelled as of yet though.

). Initially (Q3??) they might only allow APEC card/Business eVisitor holders to enter, but I guess there will be no flights as you cannot operate them profitably only with a handful of passengers eligible to enter the country.

Interesting, thanks! I went and searched a bit and there are quite a few references to Australia keeping international travel banned for a very long time to come (and maybe relaxing NZL travel first). I guess it's all a matter of weighing up the alternatives: how big is the probability of a significant number of new 'imported' cases (relative to the spread through 'local' infections), vs the damage this isolating the country does to the economy. These are two different metrics, so not an easy task to compare them.
