Seeing the flight menu online
Hello. I’m fairly new here so apologies if this is already common knowledge/been discussed before.
Me and my partner are flying to Tokyo from Glasgow In J. This is the first time flying EK (BA strikes prevent us from flying out of LHR. We’re also growing tired of BA, I digress) and we’re not sure what range of food to expect.
We’re due to fly out in 14 days, however when I try and find what menu is available for each leg of the fight it says it will be uploaded closer to the time. My partner is quite a fussy eater and if he could find out what’s available then we could plan ahead.
What I’m wanting to know is when is the menu available to view before the flight?
I’ve seen a thread from a few years back that someone has posted a bunch of menus, however it was from almost a decade ago, and I couldn’t find GLA-DXB DXB-NRT.
Thanks.

Menus are always available in the month of the flight, so tomorrow it'll be available. As a guess you'll have a chicken or fish option, a beef, duck or lamb option and a third, possibly vegetarian, option. Also salad, dessert and bread. The flight to Japan will probably feature a Japanese main option

I do not know about the facilities at Glasgow but I have to say that the food in the Emirates lounges (especially the main one in Dubai which has a fabulous selection) was so good I tended to only want a nibble in the air with the exception of a good breakfast before landing

The Glasgow lounge has a reputation as being one of the best in the network and the food always hits the mark (even taking into account my personal gripe of too many curry/spicy dishes). The timing of the Glasgow flights mean it'll be lunch or dinner on the ground so I hope the OP's partner can find something to his taste. If on the early afternoon flight they also also have the option of snacks in the A380 bar once onboard.

Speaking of Glasgow lounge, a member posted this snack on the first day it was open - sorry I can't quote the name of the poster. I suspect it was get a wide selection of what was available on the tray and take a photo rather than what was eaten!
