Which lounge (J) at DXB

Hey guys, cheers enroute to DXB onboard EK44! Any suggestions on which EK Business Lounge to try out (Concourse A or B)?

Surely this depends on which concourse you arrive at and which one you depart from? e.g. would anyone land at a B gate, get the train to A just to use the lounge there if they weren't departing from A? (and vice-versa). It also depends on how long you have until your connecting flight - if you only have an hour or so you'd hardly spend time walking and on the train to go to another concourse.

I prefer the J lounges in A to those in B given a free choice but I only use B lounges when departing from B and A lounges when departing from A. I suppose there is technically just one A lounge which is spread out over the A gates but a few B lounges. I've only used the B lounge near B16 multiple times.

If you've got the time head to A, especially if you want quiet and space (head to the ends). B also great though as long as you hang out in the Champagne Bar. Also B has a smoking section.

C is fine for shirt stays and you can pour your own Heineken from a draught tap which is nice.

For showers also A is best. There's supposedly a new lounge (J/F combined) at the end of concourse C (lower C gates) but I haven't been there.

A also has a great and spacious business center if you want to do some work.

Contrary to OzTennis' view I often take the train to A just to use the lounge, sometimes even when departing from C (these days I just hit the Champagne Bar in B though).

Also there's only one lounge in B, OzTennis when you speak of B16 I think you just mean the other entrance to the J lounge from the smoking section?

EDIT: also if early morning and in need of coffee the B lounge has complimentary Costa coffee which is better than the machine coffee. And if you want ice cream ask for it, they have Haagen Dasz but not always on display. Doughnuts are also delicious

Wow, lounge B concourse is a smokers paradise. A mini lounge with food and bar. Excellent!

Yes, but you'll get a strange look and they'll tell you you're supposed to use the F lounge.

My usual excuses:
* I want to visit Costa
* I want to visit the juice bar
* I want to visit the champagne bar

Honestly folks, smoking in a real fully equipped lounge is so throwback 90's ....I love it. No glass cubicles and no standing outside curbside. Honestly, this is what epicurean luxury is all about.

Shame about the ventilation: the smoke leaks down into the main concourse!

FCL A has a private cigar room with bar

Urgh I'd rather have the J Coffee which is at least freshly ground even if machine automated. Nespresso I have every day at work, don't need to visit a J lounge for it!

Ha! It does have that feel to it. Much prefer the Cigar Lounge in A if I have the time though.

You mean in the J lounge, or on board?

I meant the coffee on board was Nespresso (in J and F, unless you have the disgusting "filter" which is just the Y freeze dried instant )

F lounge coffee is the same as J, which is, I hear, the same beans as Costa - after all, EK own Costa in the UAE
