Star on crew uniform ?
Question that has been burning in my mind for awhile and can not seem to find the answer for is what is the star on crew uniform indicating/symbolising ?

Anyone know :-:

They completed the Najm course - which is basically a customer service course. Not to be confused with Najm Chairman's Award.

I've got one. Never had the courage to wear it for a flight though, despite being told it would get me all sorts of favours

So only EK crew can do this or is it open to passengers if assuming DYWIA is not staff ? Wouldn't mind doing a course to get all sorts of favours

There was an Emirates do a few years ago where around 30 of us did the Najm course (a very cut down version!).

The favor is - come and help us out in the galley, why won't you move seat, you're staff, stop causing trouble

Either that or they think you are audit, in which case, best behaviour but no special favors for anyone!

Would not mind asking for a few cheeky favours and getting them granted then coming out in my PJ's sporting a Najm star and looking at the nervous look when crew notice it and think i am some type of EK CIA auditor

Yeah would be a real fashion statement ! Don't wanna have to deal with the Dubai fashion police seeing how are the normal police are

I think it is called Noujoum (star in Arabic). I did the 'course' as well.
