Star on crew uniform ?
 
Question that has been burning in my mind for awhile and can not seem to find the answer for is what is the star on crew uniform indicating/symbolising ?

Anyone know :-:

They completed the Najm course - which is basically a customer service course. Not to be confused with Najm Chairman's Award.

I've got one. Never had the courage to wear it for a flight though, despite being told it would get me all sorts of favours :D

So only EK crew can do this or is it open to passengers if assuming DYWIA is not staff ? Wouldn't mind doing a course to get all sorts of favours :D

There was an Emirates do a few years ago where around 30 of us did the Najm course (a very cut down version!).

The favor is - come and help us out in the galley, why won't you move seat, you're staff, stop causing trouble :D

Either that or they think you are audit, in which case, best behaviour but no special favors for anyone!

Would not mind asking for a few cheeky favours and getting them granted then coming out in my PJ's sporting a Najm star and looking at the nervous look when crew notice it and think i am some type of EK CIA auditor :cool:

Yeah would be a real fashion statement ! Don't wanna have to deal with the Dubai fashion police seeing how are the normal police are :D

I think it is called Noujoum (star in Arabic). I did the 'course' as well.
