Any good? Haven't seen any reports on here of the new lounge, though lounge attendants at C last year told me about it being built, didn't know it was open already!

It's the smallest of the DXB J lounges, smaller than LGW or LHR outstation lounges.

It's all the newest spec, with higher density seating, but as it is on the runway side of the terminal, the views are fantastic (same as F lounge at concourse C).

The design of the food and drink area is poor, boxed into a corner meaning everyone is getting in each others' way - I was there for breakfast and the toaster is int he corner, so you either block everyone whilst waiting, or have to keep standing back. Just seemed remarkably poorly thought through for EK!

Nothing else special about it - if I were flying from C with a bit of time I would go there for the views over the normal C lounge. Pref still A, then B, then C9, then C22.

This lounge isn't open 24 hours though - as I was walking in from C5 on my LGW arrival a few days before I spotted it (hadn't heard a thing about it before), but it was closed with opening hours signage (at approx .1am) at the door - but as it was open when I was sent to it I don't know what those hours are.

Interesting, thanks. Sounds like it's just a filler lounge for the far end of C rather than a genuine additional or replacement Lounge to C22.

The one redeeming quality if C22 is the Heineken on tap

None on tap in C9 - so I guess that is your C preference set then!

Agree - I wasn't even aware of it until now.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread but worth a post I guess.

So two different experiences suggesting there is no "rule" used.

At PVG lower deck disembarked through front door as usual. No upper deck passengers came down the stairs.

At DXB lower deck disembarking was held until passengers came down the stairs. Assume they were the Y upper deck passengers.
