Apologies if this has been asked and answered before - my search of the forum returned zero results.

Could someone please explain to me what the letters before each of the numbers mean please? I know F, J and Y but I'm clueless, and interested to know to what the others are.

F2 A0 J0 C0 I0 O0 P0 Y5 E5 R5 W5 M0 B0 U0 K0 H0 Q0 L0 T0 V0 X0

Thank you.

Thank you.

These are what are commonly called ‘fare buckets’. As we all know, not everyone in a particular ‘cabin ‘ pays the same fare. ‘Special’, ‘Saver’, ‘Flex’ and ‘Flex+’ are easily recognised but even within these there are different fares as shown by the ‘fare buckets’. F and A are First class, J, C, I, O and P are Business and the rest are Economy.
The numbers behind the letters are the number the airline will sell in that bucket, but the maximum shown is 4 for First, 7 for Business and 9 for Economy buckets. And the numbers in a specific cabin are not additive, i.e. in your example the airline will sell 5 economy tickets, not 20. But they will sell them at the W ‘price’ (or above). Business is sold out, First has 2 tickets for sale (at the highest fare).

I notice you have posted this twice and right at the start of the other thread is

Information on Load requests

The number of seats for sale for a flight are available via ExpertFlyer.com, a subscription-based service with a 5-day free trial. A subscription is $9.99/month and can be enabled and disabled any time. It is encouraged to subscribe rather than post repeatedly in this thread.

NB: Op-up changes or overselling of a flight cannot be determined with certainty from this information, only inferred to be more or less probable.

For a once-off load request please follow these guidelines:

Flight Avail

I was checking availability for EK573 CCU-DXB and EK215 DXB-LAX for 12Oct and 13Oct.

Both flights showing as F2 A2 J4 C4 I4 O7 P0 Y7 E7 R7 W7 M7B7 U7 K7 H7 Q7 L7 T7 V7 X7

Doesnt it seem too far out for the flights to be so full already?

I'm seeing F4, A4, J6, Y, E, R, W, M all 9 on EK573 and EK215 wide open with F4, A4, J, C, I, O all 7 and Economy all 9s down to X, so maybe not as full as you think.

Odd thing is that you show "H" class which doesn't show for me. I wonder why that is.

Different ‘sales cities’ as well as ‘married segment logic’ may both (partly) account for this ‘discrepancy ‘. Using EF (where this possibly comes from?) always needs a bit of thought.

I thought EK didn't have different "sales cities" and married segment logic can't be the reason as the poster gave figures for the individual legs so that's what I looked at. I didn't use Expert Flyer but I'm surprised there are different sets of figures out there.
