EK17 yesterday

So I finally got acually fly with someone from here yesterday - thanks to Antdenatale who made the flight enjoyable despite a cold and robotic, disinterested crew.

Few points: veuve ran out with 3 hours to go

Dom p ran out about 2 hours to go

When y wife ordered dinner they had no Xmas dinners left the crew were really arsey and not apologetic.

Requested a shower (they forgot)! I reminded them about 45 mins later que panic and run in around

I asked the purser to send some drinks to some friends in Y, he said he'd done it but when i called my friend they didn't get any?!! I pulled him up on this and champagne was promptly delivered

Don't get me started on the family of 4 with the noisy 3 year old - I dnot mind kids (honest) but when dad in 1A shuts his suite door, mum in 1E has noise cancelling headphones on and 3 year old has an iPad Pro it's quite annoying. The daughter (about 8) in 1K was well behaved aside from her snark to the shower attendant that she wanted a shower 2 hours before landing with zero manners. God help those kids in a few years.

Compared to the crew we had 2 weeks ago on the way back from MRU this was a poor experience. Just shows how much a flight depends on the crew.

Does anyone know what my favorite emoji is?

It is sad when you get that crew. We've all had them at one time or another I'm sure and it does take the enjoyment out of the journey.

Unacceptable.

Write in verbatim to EK - the crew should know that EK is looking for any excuse to cut costs which should incentivise them to actually be more professional...

They should also know to load more champagne to MAN

Was a pretty poor flight overall, the highlight for me was having a picture taken behind the bar with M3red wearing a red nose and Christmas antlers!

i knew it was going to b a good day when I ordered the breadbasket in the lounge and was given jams that were already opened and half used by other people.

This was without doubt the coldest crew I have ever encountered on EK in F, there was no smile and everything just seemed like hard work to them.

To me it is unacceptable for a organisation that brands themselves a cut above to run out of drink and food in premium classes, this is just poor planning.

As M3red mention about the kids, it was the noise from the kids that stopped me sleeping, not a big thing in the grand scheme of things, but again, one of those small things that's sours the whole experience.

EK at the moment is started to remind me very much of BAband their fall from grace, the cost cutting, the lack of attention to detail, sometimes disinterested crew.

Dont get me wrong, EK on a good day is the best in the world, but days like yesterday make you wonder why you pump so much money their way.

Not a great flight, Only thing I can think is with it being close to Christmas maybe the crew did not want to be working the grave yard shift over Christmas, I am sure most would rather be with family. Then again they would have been told in advance and made plans. Not an excuse but may explain the crew

The crew were obviously not aware that two esteemed FTer's were on the flight and one of them being an Ambassador too. Absolutely shocking. Write to the Daily Mail

Or maybe it was just because it was the MAN flight..............

Safe & Happy Travels
