Fast Track at HKT
Anyone know if Business class Pax get fast tracked in the new Phuket airport?
I contacted EK and got a silly reply saying you can pay for fast track, please contact your hotel.
Thanks

You already asked this here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/emira...ations-42.html
Does it really matter? The normal lines in most airports are tolerable. Of course it'd be nice but you seem to be putting a lot of effort into finding out, would something as insignificant as that impact your purchasing decision?

This post frrom a couple of weeks ago says no. Elsewhere on the same thread are references to a pay as you go service.

I know I did but had no response as it was hidden there.
I ask because people have been saying that the arrivals procedure, ie immigration have been chaotic in the newly opened terminal and people are actually paying for fast track.
Thank you for the reply anyway.

When I flew into HKT - I didn't get any arrival fast track at the old airport in business as a Gold.
However, flying business on the 2 class return to DXB, I got escorted from check in the whole way to the lounge skipping through all the queues. I thought it was great - pity if it is gone! It helped compensate for the old 77W that has the most awkward to use version of ICE! I went to sleep instead!

There is no priority lane upon arrival. There is (although I here it's hit & miss) a priority service upon departure. Its handled by a 3rd party (Coral Executive) & pax are accompanied to a dedicated counter/s at the far left side of the emigration counters. The service is also available as a paid service for Y pax.
And no, for those that don’t know, it is definitely not always a quiet/calm experience arriving or departing from HKT (depending on time of day it can be extremely busy) so a service like this is indeed well worth it.
This is based upon my experience with EY & QR but I am guessing it will be similar for EK too.

Thanks. EK reply to me was that the Coral Executive had a charge, even for business and first class pax so will give that a miss.
Yes I heard it was busy over on the Thailand TA forums which is why I decided to check the fast track service out.
