A friend had William Curley chocolates in F the other day ex-LHR.

New choccolate episode

On my last 2 sectors the chocolate brand was "Canonica" from Swiss

I took my first flight on EK in F this week so I can report back that there is another chocolate brand added to the goodie basket roster: Valrhona. But only on the second leg - the first segment had Neuhaus. Both are really good.

Also had canonica and Valhrona yesterday DXB-MAN 017.

How was the food?

The soups, starters and pasta are often the best in my experiences although the pasta can be hit and miss too. Tomato based ones are best.

Any why oh why is there never any ice cream?

Quote button not working m3red.

Food not bad - mushroom soup was nice enough and the shiitake and rocket ravioli with parmesan was OK. The pear and chocolate crumble dessert was surprisingly tasty but no ice cream sadly!
Didn't notice what hubby had except for the roasted beef tenderloin appetiser which he said was good.
Will ask and get back to you.
Best of all was the P2 Dom perignon!

If you are on an afternoon flight ex-UK ask them for the Y ice cream - it's usually Loseley Vanilla. Might be available in the evening flights but I haven't been on one of those for a while.

I'm drinking that right now :) Only 2 in F, so hopefully it won't run out.

I think all afternoon ex-EU flights have ice cream? Or most. Had it ex AMS, DUB and VIE

A 2 hour ground delay wasn't too much of an ordeal :D

Food wasn't great though. Definitely room for improvement after my last 2 flights.

Just you!

I really never liked them - I expect nobody else did either....;)

eternaltransit Nov 3, 2016 4:51 am

Godiva at least can be bought in massive quantities at just about every airport EK flies to, if you miss them :)
