Excellent service
Yesterday I flew EK, I was connecting in DXB but on 2 different pnr, at the airport I asked if they could just do the connection and transfer my luggage, of course they can, they did it everything was fine... until I reached my final destination. When I was at the luggage carrousel I was called and told that my bag didn't make it, they had ALL the info, I was told that I would have it by special delivery before 5 pm... All the papers were done, all they needed was a delivery address and a local tel #. I was offered whatever I needed, without asking.
True to their word, the bag was here before 5, and the driver was apologetic because he couldn't bring it up to my door, my area has a parking problem.
Excellent service, unlike my normal go to airline that I have zillions of miles with. When they drop my bags, I have to go down and collect them without any apologies.
A thank you note is going to EK and their people in Paris.

Oh another thing, normally I lock my bags, but I left in a hurry and forgot to lock it. It arrived with a plastic lock.
Thanks EK.

When I did the checking in "unconventionally" I suspected that it might not arrive with me. I had done it several times with another airline and they always arrived safely. It wasn't a problem for me as I was home and really didn't need anything the bag.
Next time, I will just do it the normal way.
But the service was excellent, both on board and on the ground.
Though it I was a nitty picker (whatever that means) I would have complained that I wasn't personally greeted by the responsible on board (even though I have whatever color card) and the lady in the next booth was, and it was her first time on EK. But I don't need that recognition. I was happy to be where I was, tranquil.

I think they guess that we fly that much that we don't need or want one! Getting asked if I am familiar with the seat is annoying.

I really don't mind the no hello, no problem, even the airline that I have most of my miles at times they skip me. Am fine with it, there is really nothing to talk about. Welcome back Ms Y, anything you need please let me and anyone know. Same same. Normally when I feel it is my turn, I start to think of things to say... Glad she skipped me.

In premium cabins its hard to say if it's the normal cabin welcome or the status welcome, as you get both. In Economy it's obviously pretty easy to tell.

Definitely sounds like everything went perfectly for you service-wise (except the bags not making it of course)
