Only you can decide whether it is worth it for you
If the fare for business class at time of purchase was $450 extra for business class for that flight, would you have purchased business class or not
From that you can best determine whether it is worth it - don't consider the $450 in isolation, consider the toal price paid and decide

Was this an upgrade offer by email? I would strongly advise you to read the small print attached to it, if so, as some of these offers do not entitle you to additional baggage allowance, chauffeur drive or lounge access!
That makes the evaluation 450 USD for onboard services only!

For $450, its definitely worth to sample the hard product and given the horrible Y on the 777, a good way to spend some $s for a 6 hour odd flight in J. Don't get your hopes too high and you should be fine. Its a night flight so there isn't too much that you can do, but I would expect better levels of service given that most pax would be sleeping. And, the JFK lounge is great and you can have drinks + dinner there - note that it is open all day so if you have some time to kill, come a bit early and enjoy the views of the tarmac.

In short I would echo jackiedada's comments above : it's a welcome opportunity to sample the product, at what seems a good price, but just don't set the bar too high.
Hopefully you can come back with some positive feedback, and you will see it as money well-spent.
Have a good trip ^

Right, I missed that. You might want to check if the lounge staff might allow you in or check with them if you can be at the lounge and request one of the pax coming in - most of the pax flying out of JFK has plenty of status so that shouldn't be a problem. The only fly in the ointment is that 202 departs around the same time as 206 which has far more numbers in J, so you might need to wait for a while before a solo traveler with status on 206 shows up.
