AMEX points to Emirates
Hello! I am planning a trip from LAX to DEL in November.
Can someone please confirm that with 85k transferred from amex to skywards i can book an economy RT flight?
I haven't signed up for skywards yet but if someone can confirm i will really appreciate it, thank you!

I'm not sure how an AMEX transfer works out, but 85,000 Skywards miles looks to be the requirement for an Economy Saver Reward return on your route.
There are also taxes and charges of around 770 USD on a random date I just looked up, and the Saver option was only available with a long stopover in at least one direction.
Check availability and suitability of the flights before you do any transfer, as rewards are not offered on all flights and on some dates are only available in higher fare classes, which require more miles.

If you can transfer, they can be used to book a ticket.
But, you have to see if they can be transferred.
EDIT : I was wrong. You can transfer from AMEX.

The EK website lists the USA as one of the countries where Membership Reward points can be transferred to Skywards Miles.

I read some time ago on HFP that you could only use one Amex card to move points over, ie if you took a new Amex out you wouldn't be able to move points from that card to Emirates miles, is this still the case?

Miles from more than one Amex card account may be collected in a single Membership miles account. It makes transfers a breeze.
Amex Membership miles to EK Skymiles is a 1:1 transfer for USD. I don't believe they promise immediate transfer between accounts but I've found that to be the case when I've done it.

Once the accounts are linked, the transfers are just about instantaneous. Each Skywards account has "space" for one Amex MR partner.
You can, with difficulty, change the MR account linked with EK, but this is dependant more on the EK side - a poster had this issue, which took some time to resolve (surprise surprise, it's on EK's end, not Amex!).
Don't forget EK charge extortionate fuel surcharges for redemptions. You might get better value buying a Y ticket and using miles to upgrade.

I just wish I had those transfer partners here in CA with MR. Rather tan being "stuck" with just AC & BA for points transfers.
