LA Dodgers partner with Emirates

Forgive me if google failed to show a lively FT discussion on this bold news.

I'm curious how it'll go over. Al Jazeera wasn't a huge hit widely (John Oliver notwithstanding), and of course Emirates don't serve US domestic flights directly. But their partnership kung fu is strongish.

No idea how this should work, flight with B6 would be the most logic option but they only have 4 direct flights from LAX (FLL, EWR, BUF and BOS), not really an Airline Sponsor... also interesting where we can 'see' Emirates in the Dodgers Stadium

AFAIK sponsorship deals are not the same as charter teams (most are on United charters)

It's just to get more exposure.

Man Utd's official 'Airline Sponsor' are Aeroflot, and they don't even fly to MAN. However, their adverts are shown every game on the advertising hoardings.

I think pretty much only really one market in Asia: Japan. I am happy to be corrected on the point though!

Latin Americas/Carrabean love baseball, I only think they love soccer/football more than baseball.

The deal is a home run for brand exposure, and awareness.

Has anyone redeemed miles to go to a Dodgers game? Do they have a private suite or is it a seat with access to the Emirates lounge which I think is similar to an airport lounge just in a stadium, but I may be wrong. Any details would be appreciated.

This is the wording they have on the website.
Hospitality tickets
As well as your seat, enjoy access to the private Emirates hospitality suite with complimentary food and beverages.

I bet those baseball fans holding hospitality tickets can't wait to eat hummus and moutabel and veal bacon, and drink Pouilly Fuisse.

My guess is their hospitality will be more geared to the market... beer and nachos.

I was more concerned with the atmosphere. Is it a private 20 person or so suite or a larger lounge type situation.
