Economy Flex Plus Refund Question

I need a one-way ticket from ORD to MAA. It is around $860 [Economy Flex]. But if I book the same date as a round trip ticket, I'm being offered outbound for $700 [Economy Saver] and return for $1070 [Economy Flex Plus]. My question is, can I book a round trip and later cancel and get full refund for my return ticket? Did anyone did similar stuff before. Please share your experience.
Is it worth a hassle for saving $160?

Definitely not would be my suggestion, but I'll let others familiar with ticketing rules chip in with more useful information...

If you have two fare types combined stricter cancellation rule will apply. Also if you cancel after departure (so after you have used you ORD MAA flight) the refund after departure rule will apply. As far as I can see it states "not possible" (Economy Saver), so the fare is non-refundable after departure. As it is "stricter rule" you whole ticket will be non-refundable after departure.

So you would get nothing back in this case (despite some unused taxes).

yes it is (some stations charge a booking fee, this would not be refundable)
