Upgrade code to business

I purchased an upgrade to business on a flex ticket recently, but may have to change my dates to the 24th February from Man to Dxb, but confused on expert flyer what is the correct code to check for upgrade availability because I thought it was D and there was availability, but when I rang they said no availability !! Am I checking wrong code ? Advice would be appreciated. Thanks

D is the upgrade class but there seems to be a difference between Expert Flyer and what Emirates itself says

According to Expert Flyer , EK 20 and 22 seem to have availability but 18 has none

Looking for bookings on Emirates's site however , only flex rewards seem available which would be in line with the Emirates agent saying that there are no upgrades available

Did you upgrade using miles or cash? If miles, then you need to have D class on your new flight, otherwise the email confirming a cash upgrade should have the new fare class in the updated ticket.

I used miles on the flex ticket to upgrad, but expert flyer shows seats for D upgrade on the flight I want EK20 on the 24th, and I presumed I could carry the upgrade using miles to that flight, they said no availability and do I want economy ! Confused

You usually can - if there's space, they generally refund the miles straight away, book you into the same fare class economy on the new flight and upgrade you. Perhaps try calling again and speaking to another agent?

If there is no availability for the upgrade then you will need to rebook to economy if you need to change to that date

What the agent has told you marries up with what the Emirates site shows for award bookings in that there is no saver award inventory available on 24th feb

( saver awards and upgrades go in the same booking class )

Where expert flyer and the emirates site differ , it is what Emirates says that matters

Thanks, tried twice and no joy, took eternaltransit's advice thought third time lucky, and she said no problems, 10 mins later flights changed, upgrade transferred over and sorted !! Thanks very much for the speedy replies, and cheers eternaltransit's, would have given up after 2 tries without advice, very much appreciated.
