DXB Transit Shower question

I'm on a 10h layover in DXB, arriving from YYZ and continuing on to JNB. I'll be traveling in business class. I'd like to have a shower once I land in DXB, and then go into the city. Is this possible? There doesn't seem to be an arrivals lounge any more, but given that I'm transiting perhaps I can use a "regular" lounge and then leave the airport?

Thanks for any advice!

Is the 10 hour stopover your doing or is it the first available flight to your destination? If the later they should provide you with a hotel room.

^ Look into this for sure.

I don't recall seeing showers in any of the Dubai lounges but with all of the recent re-designs I could be wrong. If there are showers available, can someone be specific on exactly where they are?

I've seen them at all - at least the F lounges for sure as I haven't been to the J lounges in a while, though the J lounges at Con A & B have it for sure.

You can also use the G-force gym in the hotel. They have jacuzzi, sauna, shower, exercise equipment, etc... At least that's what I've been told and I'll be in there tonight from 23:00. The cost is something like $35 for the works and $8 for just the gym.

The J Lounge in Concourse C definitely have as well. Turn right when you enter and right again towards the toilets. Gents shower room door is on the left, toilet door on the right, at the end of this short corridor.

Here's an article I have book marked showing other non-EK shower rooms.

EK J lounges in both A and B have showers; in A it is a combined toilet/sink/shower room while in B just the shower.

The article you linked notes that the "cold" water in Dubai is lukewarm. On my recent trip, in both the A and B lounges I was unable to adjust the water temperature to anything lower than "a little too hot". The first time I assumed it was a fault of the control dial; there was one knob for water quantity and switching between overhead/handheld, and another that was meant to control temperature but did nothing. But in the B lounge it was just one control and there was no discernible difference in temperature between all the way left and all the way right.

By the time I dressed again, I felt like I needed a shower.

I guess "cold" water in Dubai is pretty warm in September.

The J lounge in the B concourse is being refurbished - shower availability may be reduced while the work is going on.

The combined set up should be the standard IMO.

I used the facilities in the new(est?) lounge in the network in GLA earlier this month.

Shower was great, but then having to move into the "public" area to get a sink with mirror to shave in, and also brush teeth was not the best.
