Passbook (iOS) functionality added

For those of you with iPhones, EK has added the iOS passbook functionality to its mobile boarding pass (about time).

If you choose mobile boarding pass when do OLCI the link you open (SMS or Email) shows the boarding info and then offers you the option to "Add to Passbook". Quite convenient as compared to having reopen browser (especially if you have a bad or no internet connection).

If you check in on your smartphone, you have the option of saving the boarding pass to the device in the form of Passbook boarding pass.

Does this work on iPad as well? I ask as I use an iPad as my tablet but the S5 as a phone.

Thanks.

It will still only be the airports which accept Mobile Boarding Passes - which isnt a massive amount compared to EKs extensive list of destinations.

List can be found here http://www.emirates.com/english/help...y=193394#faq19

Same here. The discussion with the security guard who is looking to see a piece of paper is just not worth it ...

Also like to get paper BP at the airport even after doing OLCI. Good excuse to to chat with the agent and get a sense of loads and op up chances

At DXB at least the agents are all quite familiar with the mobile boarding passes by now. Not the same at outstations.
