early bag drop at DXB

I'm flying on ek346 this Fri (3.50am), do EK enforce a 3 hour rule for bag drops?

I was hoping to go at 12 am midnight a) to try and convince them to let me on the earleir flight and b) to have a few drinks in the lounge!

Anyone gone to DXB super early and had an issue?

The other week when I popped over to LAX, I checked in on the Saturday for Sunday flight - no problems at all. Got my boarding pass and exited the airport.

I checked in early to grab an exit seat.

Yes, been there for a while (3 years), though last time I wanted to check if they accept early drop for other airlines (e.g. QF) to which I was told no as the controllers don't have access to other airlines' flights until it's time.

Emirates has just introduced an early check-in facility, located adjacent to Terminal 3 car park area in Zone C, allowing passengers to check-in up to 24 hours in advance – except those travelling to the United States.

Forgive the redirection of the thread but is there any option for early check-in at LHR? I have a trip coming up on EK004 from LHR to DXB that departs at 20.15. I have a day's work in London before this and ideally would like to use the Chauffeur Drive to get me to LHR for 8am, drop my case and use the Heathrow Express for my day in town.

In the US, its a bit different. You'll notice at JFK that you are able to check in bags for EK202 (11 pm departure) when EK204 checkin has just opened (7:00 am).
