Oh yes, that's what I told her. But she wouldn't listen. I even offered her a night out in Liverpool.

She also sent a cheque, despite paying for it online, so I suspect the whole application may get rejected, unless they see sense and just rip up the cheque.

HMPO seeing sense! Ha! I am a cynic though, I did the fast track application three weeks ago and it only took four days, so if everything is ok, it should be quite straightforward.

I had to go at Xmas.

I feel like I was being punished for running out of passport pages...

yes 100 odd quid, took 4 hours, went for lunch had a few drinks and survived.

I'm burning through this one too, no way it will last 10 years.

Try to get a second British passport. Letter from your company should help. I was planning to get another one but I don't travel that much now and my 2 year old passport is only half full.

I don't travel for work unfotunately - If I did I would easily be Plat.

Worked out well :-)

Asked at checkin if could upgrade with miles and she offered to Op-up me if I left family in Y. tempting as it was, would have been longest 3 weeks of life in Australia. Offered to pay for 4 seats with miles, but she said if I bought 3 they would give me 1 free ;-)

Kids loved it - they in for shock tomorrow when 14 hours in Y to Brisbane as miles now exhausted.
