Emirates 15% Discount Code
I've had an email from Emirates to use a 15% off code for flights, when I go use the code it says its not valid.
After looking at the website the codes for the discount are 7 characters maximum where as the code i've been sent is 11 characters long.
Has anyone had this issue and how have you got around it?

1. Are you using the same emirates website as the one for which the code was sent?
2. Is the country of ticketing eligible for the discount . For example a ex UK code will not give you a discount on an Ex US flight?
3. Might seem stupid but is the code still valid? Most of the EK codes ( especially the ones they send)have a very short shelf life.
4. Are you a member of skywards and did you try to use the code after signing in to the same account for which the code was sent. The codes could be specific to you and might need to be used for the same account/ same surname / same passenger. Has someone else used the code as it could be a single use only ?

Does anyone have a current discount code for ex UK flights? (About to book some J returns GLA-MEL, January departure and 5 or 10% off the prices EK is quoting now would be handy!) Perhaps these discounts are usually for flights in the short term and not 6 months ahead? Any advice or help appreciated.

I'm sure the OP would have had a hundred PM's by now and he/she has probably gone into hiding by now.. All the 15% off codes are person and sector specific and very short lived AFAIK.
