I flew from Toronto to Dubai with Airbus 380, though it is good seating space but when the front seat tilted completey to the back it feels like the front passenger sleeping in your lap. A very Rude guy sitting in front of my brother tilted the seat completely without any respect, I asked the cabin crew staff from junior staff to their supervisors but no one could do anything, and when they asked him kindly to just tilt his seat little to the front he shouted at them rudely, when his partner saw that no one could do anything to him he tilted his seat completey at my mother. We suffered 14 hours flight and when I landed I sent a complain to Emirates and all they say is it's his right to do so (I wonder if we have rights too!! we didn't jump into the plane for free). Well, that would be the last time ever to fly on emirates, me my family some of my friends stopped flying on emirates. Add to that the cabin crew service was very poor, I swear instead of ringing the bell I go by myself to the kitchen to get some water or drink because no one would answer in 15 mins.
Since your rude customer has the right to tilt his seat completely to the back, we have the right me and my family members my friends to stop flying by Emirates

Just absolutely hammer at the touchscreen of the IFE and if the rude person asks you to stop, say that you are just looking through the IFE, and that you are entitled to do so, just as he is entitled to recline his seat fully. Worked for me once, albeit not on EK

Never fly by Emirates
What nonsense. A seat reclines for a reason. The a380 has plenty of pitch and space. I cannot understand why you would make such a big deal out of nothing. I have flown many times when this has happened. I just accept it as part of the functionality of the seat. He is completely within his rights to recline on a 14 hour flight.

Did you recline your seat at all during the flight?

Thats what you get in economy. If you don't like it get an exit row or pay for business class.

You'll have a tough time flying almost any airline if you want them to stop people from reclining their seats.

Absolutely diontd rude behaviour is not on. But we only have one version of what happened. I don't understand the logic of complaining about a seat going back. Going to cabin crew etc would wind most people up of it is persistent complaining when you are in your rights. Probably airlines should issue guidelines on this so it is clear as usually both parties feel they have a point and cabin crew can be inconsistent I mean why would someone recline to sleep then say oh ok I will put it forward. It's not as though they had no idea what they were doing.

This post should just be deleted!
The title of this thread "Never fly by Emirates", has nothing to do with the complaint which is down to the fellow traveler being rude, unless Emirates now guarantee pleasant fellow travelers as part of their advertising (I didn't see it mentioned in the latest Ronaldo commercial) You could get this on any flight and it's not the airlines fault.
The A380 economy seat doesn't recline any differently from the majority of airlines and actually has a decent size/pitch.
As already mentioned you cannot blame someone for reclining their seat on a 14 hour flight. I certainly would and would prefer to have mine and the seat in front reclined rather than both vertical. Just visit the Cathay Pacific forum and listen to the complaints about their 'hard shell' economy seats which don't really recline.

Another one-post wonder complaining about a non-issue. I wonder who was the rude one on that flight...
I'm sure he's so important, everyone in Canada will now stop flying EK!

I think you've hit the nail on the head Turicus.
One of those posts (and indeed titles) which tells us a lot more about the writer than it does about the airline........
