Am I missing a reference? The title references lice at a gate (yuk), but I see no discussion of lice in the thread.

I was revenue 1X on a recent EK773 from CPT to DXB. Boarding is separated by queue between the Y crowd and the 'elites'. there was a clear queue in the elite line 10 mins prior to boarding, but DYKWIAs (including platinums) just couldn't bother to queue... first time i have seen this at a dedicated priority boarding line, and ground staff couldn't be bothered...

separating me from my DOM by even a minute is not cool!!

... did i mention NO DOM on the ground....
They don't open dom on the ground for tax reasons etc.

Boarding at remote stations is a shambles. In face when I flew dxb jnb in j it was also a zoo having to queue with all economy pax! How terrible
Oh I have been Known to just walk to the front ofqueue and say the lounge sat us down-is this the priority boarding ?

And get away with it !

Unlike EK771 on 11th - we were reallocated from 1E/1F to 3E/3F for no apparent reason as F not full probably pax in 1A wanting to have his g/f across aisle from him. After 5 reboots of ICE eventually got it working then the real bugbear - both partner and I found we had multiple insect bites on legs and back. Now awaiting customer services feedback on our complaint. So CPT lice do seem to exist

Those are not gate lice. I think you have been bitten by 'Seat Lice'.

Trying to decide if we got a "lice" outcome - offered 45k mikes for the inconvenience of seat moves and ICE failures and a cursory apology for the insect life...

sounds like good compensation - care to elaborate what happened and what you asked of EK?

I suspect bedbugs. They are quite rampant even in luxury hotels.(See link below) I would assume that airline seats will not be an exception either . Even if they are periodically treated the aircraft fly all over the world anyway.Quite easy for those critters to hide in the corners.

http://registry.bedbugs.net/hotels/. I've been bitten at a London ' luxury ' hotel once.

Edited to add

Similar story on BA as well
