CPT priority gate lice!!

So, i thought i was over this... guess not. Duty free woodford reserve not helping!!

I was revenue 1X on a recent EK773 from CPT to DXB. Boarding is separated by queue between the Y crowd and the 'elites'. there was a clear queue in the elite line 10 mins prior to boarding, but DYKWIAs (including platinums) just couldn't bother to queue... first time i have seen this at a dedicated priority boarding line, and ground staff couldn't be bothered...

separating me from my DOM by even a minute is not cool!!

... did i mention NO DOM on the ground....:td:

They don't open dom on the ground for tax reasons etc.

Boarding at remote stations is a shambles. In face when I flew dxb jnb in j it was also a zoo having to queue with all economy pax! How terrible ;)

Sorry what does the acronym DYKWIA's mean?

Boarding CAN be shambles at outstations but weirdly most EK aircraft leave on time from out stations as opposed to always late at DXB.
As M3 said - Dom wont be opened up on ground - boy oh boy that would have a lot of paperwork implications.

Typically:
Don't You Know Who I Am?

Depending on the situation, the emphasis could change to:
Don't You Know WHO I Am?

I have had it on the ground before though - I think it was in DXB once and maybe once ex DEL

Only happened once though.

Boarding at DXB is also shambles at some gates. No separate queue for J or even F in a few gates (even for flights to the UK!!!). However things are a bit better since the A concourse has opened and I have had this issue only once this year ( for a flight to DEL)

Subcontinent flights are always a total gangf.... They have a bit different ideas on how queuing works :)

Had Dom prior to departure in DXB last week (not sure if it had anything to do with the fact that Mrs PK and I were the only pax in F). Boarding was no problem - it wasn't until I got on board I understood why the gate agent had phoned the plane to say that 'the F Pax have arrived'. We were in good time....

Well unless you give me sweets I like :D I'll take Lindt otherwise your bags are being offloaded :D :p

And the powdered milk - You've evidently not been flying EK enough :p EK Crews apparently are supermarkets, "What you're a mother but expect EK to provide baby milk?!"

+1 on the JNB thing. We flew JNB-DXB last month... the most chaotic and disorganized boarding process I've seen in ages. The gate was the furthest from the EK lounge and all the way at the end of the concourse. Even though monitors said "Boarding", boarding had not started and was another 20 minutes from starting. The GA welcomed F & J pax into the gate area, where we waiting for another 10 minutes with the gate monitor still showing "Boarding".

Official boarding was finally announced, but all that meant is that we wait on the walkway after the podium before the jet bridge, for 10 more minutes, F&J on the left, Y on the right.

Once on board, our PDB champagne was indeed Dom.
