Upgrade at check-in
 

I am flying to Dubai on Wednesday and I can only upgrade to business at check-in on Tuesday.

On my flight there are currently 5 upgrades available.

There are currently 15 seats available to purchase and 6 seats are blocked... I would assume my chances of getting at least 1 upgrade are good?

Thanks. I'm now a bit concerned that the weather might cause a few problems, upgrades won't be available as they squeeze the delayed passengers onto our flight

They have increased the upgrades available to 4 now.

My guess is that so long as there is unsold inventory in J, you should be able to upgrade; unless Y is quite oversold, in which you might just get an op-up for free ;)

No chance of an op-up for free as I am a blue skywards member.

If I check-in online I will be able to upgrade for 1 passenger rather than all 4 passengers on the trip?

No you have to upgrade all pax on the pnr.

If just you want to upgrade you need to call ek and split the booking so you get your own pnr.

I don't think you have to split the booking. AFAIK, the call center should be able to upgrade a single pax in a PNR unless things have changed recently.

IMO it is best to pay for flex then get an expert flyer alert/keep checking the website
