1000 miles missing to silver...
.. you'd think they would upgrade you to silver after asking nicely and with a return flight about 6000 tier miles in a couple days, but no!
Sometimes I really ask myself what customer service is for them? I mean I fly back in a couple days and I am 1000 miles short, I am on a flex fare ticket and the website says "you need 0 additional miles to archive silver".
That sounds like it's kinda up to them to upgrade me or not, at least for me. All I got is "you are blue with all the privileges coming with blue and you stay blue until you return, which will give you a total of 30k tier miles".. awesome.
Does that cost Emirates anything to upgrade me and allow me lounge access for that 2 hours stop over in DXB? I don't think so, they would just increase my loyalty, but I guess it's not really needed.
Sometimes they really
off.. but I like the arabian mezza for breakfast

The website shows TMs including projected ones from future travel, so it is showing that you need zero to attain silver. Once you complete the journey which will get you over 25k it will change to show that you are silver status
If you are on 24k, why should they promote you before you undertake the travel?
Customer service is assisting with customers' issues - not to just do what people ask them to do regardless of whether it is correct

So do you think that they should reduce the limit to 24,000?
What if you were 2,000 short?
Or are you saying they should give you status based on booked but untravelled flex tickets?
Then what is stopping you from booking enough flex tickets to achieve top status, then cancelling them all?

To me, customer service sounds like that they have actually done a good job - if 24k was the requirement , then EK should lower it for all

Just give it a miss as it will never happen.
Even when you do get silver there are still three more tiers above that, all you have done is get of the starting blocks showing loyalty.
Unless you can give evidence of super duper future spend in which case they would have bumped you up to gold.
We all had to work our way through the tiers, that's just the way it is.
Sorry to dump on your rant.

In April, I was 250 miles short to reach Gold... I had to fly begining of May to get Gold... return flight I had an OP UP
They won't give you what you'll get soon... even if I got flights booked until October (I'll still be short 37K to reach Plat by the end of October).
