First not available on flight

Hi first apologies hope I am posting this in the right place, we are currently booked into j on male-dub-man on the 11th June, we flew out f and it's our honeymoon so was considering upgrading to f on the way back, but having looked at the seats available online male-dub seems to have a first option as business starts at row 6 but the dub Manchester does not as it starts at row 1. So what would happen if I upgrade? I was quoted 814 pound per person, the operator said the equipment might be changed but may not be, if it was would I get a refund? It still shows on the website as though you can book first. To be fair 814 is a fair price for all the way but not for the 4 hour flight from male to Dubai

Thanks

James

If you choose to upgrade , then I would suggest changing to another flight for DXB-MAN which does have 1st class rather than spend that amount just upgrading 1 leg

As far as what happens if they get rid of 1st on one of your flights; if it is a change that happens in advance, then contact EK and get rebooked back in business and get a refund; if 1 leg ends up without 1st then you may find yourself in business class on that leg but having paid the same

Thanks guys, really annoying the next Manchester flight is at 3 am and we arrive in Dubai at 1pm so would be a really long wait, also been looking and noticed that it actually the 10th of June rather than the 11th good job I checked! Been looking at the flightstats and the average delay is 30 minutes leaving only 55 minutes for the connection will that be enough time in Dubai for connection?

If Emirates let you book the connection then you will be looked after if your incoming flight is delayed so much that you miss it. They are ususally good at speeding F and J pax through tight connections and 55 minutes should be fine.
