Discount code restricting flight options

My husband is entitled to use a discount code which gives 10% off Emirates but when we look for flights we only get really bad options with 10hrs in DXB. Any thoughts?

Depends how much you want to spend in dxb airport! If it were me I'd pay the extra 10% rather than sit in a lounge, although I could just nip home I guess

It might help if you give extra details? What is the route? What type of code is it? (Conference, Media, Emirates related) People here might be able to help more.

[Should note I'm not asking for the exact code. That gets messy.]

It might be worth contacting the organiser of the discount and checking what the restrictions there are with it

I guess that is the quid pro quo.....cheaper flights but on a less popular option. Fair enough.

It may just be that the fare buckets for which the discount applies are sold out on the more convenient flights.

That's why I was sufficiently vague anout the code!

It's an Arsenal code and we want to travel MAN CMB flying out around 11 July returning around 4 August (they are flying out to join me on a business trip) using milescfor one reward ticket, payong for two.
