While there are currently no specific plans for a separate native Mac application, many KVS Tool members run it on their Macs as described at http://Help.KVSTool.com/#Mac

Hi all,
have been following this threat with great interest. Will be a first time flyer with EK in May/June in business class.
BNE-DXB / EK 435 / 30.05.
DXB-HAM / EK 059 / 01.06.
MUC-DXB / EK 050 / 07.06.
DXB-BNE / EK 434 / 08.06.
Have been a loyal QF flyer over the past years and am QF Platinum since 02/12. When QF/EK announced their cooperation thought this would be a great chance to see DXB and finally try a different routing than the usual connections via SIN.
Do you think I have a fair chance to score an upgrade in to F as a platinum flyer ? Let me know what you think and which flight may feature the best chance. Am really hoping for EK 435 ex BNE as I only managed to reserve an aisle seat in the middle row (7F).
Cheers from Brisbane,
pswissoz

If I were a dedicated EK flyer, they'd want to make sure that I will always stay dedicated..and loyal, than a once in a while passenger.

I conclude from my 5 odd years flying EK and reading threads here that:
EK has no systematic opup policies. Period. The rev management model is poor (EK. Can afford it for now with their fabulous growth) so Y is oversold frequently. This makes for full Y cabins so they do loads of op ups but without any consistent prioritization algorithm. This gives rise to a lot of speculation but bottom line is they have no consistent systems on this count.
If you want rational opups,n fly an airline that does opups based on rationale, like CVV scores etc.

Trying to get QF frequent international flyers to book directly with EK next time but guess as always there are 2 sides as many of the EK frequent travellers would certainly be upset if QF flyers frequently got upgraded.
I am sure I'll have a great trip in business just hope I still manage to get a window seat on EK 435 from BNE.
