Hi,

Anyone knows how the loads to IAD are this time a year? Is this a Gold heavy route?

Thanks

This Sunday, the flight looks packed in Y:
P2 A2 J7 C7 I3 O3 Y0 E0 R0 W0 M0 B0 U0 K0 H0 Q0 L0 T0 V0 X0

Business looks 2/3 full and F is 3 out of 8 (but this is indicative only). I would expect op-ups from Y-J.

If you were looking for upgrade awards, I would consider flying DXB-JFK and then taking a puddle jumper from JFK to IAD. You've got 2 x 380's flying daily - as opposed to the one 777, so reward space is going to far greater. I know its not direct, but if I was faced with the choice of having to fly in Y from DXB to IAD and not being able to confirm a J seat using miles as opposed to being able to confirm at time of booking and having to make a connection, I know what I would do in a heartbeat.

Thanks Eightback. I'm flying back from DFW and I already upgraded with miles. The IAD flight I'm taking this week looks full in Y today (yesterday 1 seat empty) so I guess it will be barely overbooked in Y. I'm on a Flex ticket so if there aren't too many Golds I might get lucky :-) Flights have been booked already so can't go to JFK instead but thanks for the advice!
