Minus the GBP1558 already paid leaves GBP1540-1740 extra to pay

To to just the final leg in 1st would require 3 x 1 way fares ( or paying for 1st class the whol of the return trip and just doing a voluntary downgrade to business - which would be silly )

Buying 3 x one way fares will cost more than just upgrading the whole ZA-UK journey
Booked 2 in j. Safari at bransons gaff then a few days in Cape Town

Anyone any ideas?
Pick up the phone and call reservations perhaps

Yes I already did that, but they told me I can do it online and I prefer to so was wondering if there is a way. Seems not.

You fellas are a real riot. Maybe you should write stand-up comedy. I actually did fly in economy last year. 3 times in fact. Was very overrated

+1 on the rationale!

And since I don't like to be away from home for more than 2weeks at a time, I rather fly comfortably and maximise my time when I arrive, rather than spend a month in hotels and fly Y.

+1

and I am more likely to pay for F now if the difference between J and F is not so great. (First 2 F flights coming up)

I like to travel in comfort (Im 6 foot 2) and hate queues especially at DXB.

Also I save for these flights whilst some of my friends spend on other things. I geniunely enjoy the whole experience and for me worth the cash.

FYI just tried to upgrade a leg of the MAN JNB CPT MAN but it only lets me do a whole leg and wants a 400 GBP change fee Surely they might waive that if I want to spend another couple of grand?

Only if the fare rules allows upgrade without penalty...otherwise expect a cpl of grand plus change fee
