I'm planning to buy a ticket from the UK to the far east transiting via DXB.
The ticket will be in J

One the way back I want to visit a friend at DXB. Therefore I am planning to choose a ticket with 12-18 hrs layover in DXB.My layover will be for less than 24 hours and I do not need the bag I have checked in. I will be visiting DXB with just my hand luggage so I assume that my bag can be checked all the way through to the UK

In order to get the chauffeur drive at DXB should I book the ticket using the multiple destinations section with a planned stopover at DXB? Or does any J ticket via DXB with a long layover get a chauffeur drive automatically ?

If I book using the multiple destinations section, will I be forced to collect my bags at DXB as it technically becomes a stopover? I dont need the bags anyway.

No problem booking the car, you'll get one both ways. Also no issue with the bags, as long as it's less than 24 hours, you can check them all the way.

So, perfect for you!

Just booked the ticket and there is no option for chauffeur drive in Dubai. The only options are at the origin and end of the trip

Can I just walk to the chauffeur drive desk and ask for a car? What about the return journey back to the airport at DXB??

I phoned when I did this, as there was no option to do it online. Very quick and simple. Give them a call.

You don't need to pre book from dxb just go to the desk (far right of airport) as for return you will need to call plus24 before.

Volvos not mercs in dubai unless you are in f :/

I'll contact them and book the car. I have done this before but I was flying on 2 separate tickets and it was easy that time.

I went through the t&c of ek and stopovers are covered anyway.

Once again I do appreciate the replies and wishing u all a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
