First class baggage allowance

In the experience of regular F travelers on Emirates (specifically A380) how strict are baggage allowances enforced? Ta

The most recent time I can remember traveling F with excess was DXB-DAR a few years ago. I checked in about 12kg over without a problem.

Hi Mate,

I fly EK F every week so here is 2 seprate incidents for you to have clearer picture. Both are pretty recent.

1) Me & Wife Both EK Gold going from DXB to DME. Wife went a little overboard (understatement actually) with the shopping and we were over 8 Kgs of the total F + Gold Allowance's. We had to pay for the 8 Kgs at the counter in the F terminal and recieved the Boarding Pass's from the same window. So you do not need to head back to the checkin counter to collect the BP.

2) Me only travelling as Gold. Had lot of conference presentation Fragile Equipment from HKG to CDG again in F. Had about 82 Kgs. No one even bothered to notice the weight. I do know if the reason is because the EK check in staff etc know me pretty well or is it a regular thing.

Now you can make your assumptions. But usually DXB can be tough to get away with as per my experience.

Safe Flying

EGT
