Although I would not even attempt to bother with the showers in the J lounge at DXB! The queues are horrendous, the water pressure non existent and you come out of the showers feeling worse than you went in!
My advice? Pay for a shower in the Airside Hotel Health Club. Costs about US$ 12 and well worth it for a proper shower, room to "move" and no queues!

I assume that that's what he meant. There are hotels in Terminals 1 and 3, and I agree that the facilities are very nice.

Yes, this route has always had lie flat seats at a 2x3x2 configuration. I must advise you that the EK J seats aren't that great. Try to see if the flight is overbooked at check-in and you might score an upgrade to F which on this route has Suites.

I must be doing something wrong, because when I had no status, the very first flight I ever took on EK, I was in coach and scored an upgrade. It was on a ticket bought less than 24hrs before the flight. Since then, as a gold, i only buy J, and always at very short notice, I have yet to be upgraded to F!
But good luck if you can pull it off!

I was in Dubai business lounge on monday 15th aug and it was the quietest I had ever seen it. We arrived around 2.00 pm and was lovely until around 10.00 pm. I saw 2 lots of 4 showers and they were empty most of the time until that late evening busy period. So it depends on the time you are there.
