Miles Accelerator Confirmation Email?

Miles Accelerator Confirmation Email?

I've opted in for Miles Accelerator the past two months via the Skywards web site. Each time the web site has displayed a confirmation message similar to the following:
Thank you for opting in for the August 2011 Miles Accelerator offers. An email has been sent to your email address as further confirmation.
However, I haven't received any confirmation emails. Is this a known bug? Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Yes - it says it'll send you an email but never does. Not to worry though - you do get registered for the promo.

hey ung1, isnt there a way to check online? i remember seeing a you have registered message on skywards but dont recall how i got there

Log in, select My Account, then My Messages, then Alerts. I think it'll be there if anywhere.

Go back to miles accelerator and try a sample route. The little box that you would normally check to subscribe should be grayed out saying you've already registered. Or do what ft101 said, though I haven't tried that.

It took almost 24 hours for me to receive my email, I would wait a bit.

tried both,

for some reason, i saw messages only until Dec 2010 nothing after that (though i signed up for the aug accel earlier today)

ung1, your step worked and the box was greyed out

I opted in last night, and today my itinary was updated with the bonus miles, however, I did not receive the email.....

I religiously opt in myself and all my family members on the 2nd of each month and only got an email once way back when the system first started and since then none of us has ever received an email confirmation despite the message that says you will. No messages in the internal Skywards message boxes either. The system either broke or was switched off many moons ago ... still at least the system seems to remember that one has opted in as I have never had a problem with any of my miles from bookings made through TAs and not through the website where it is automatic and does not require a registration (in theory at least). I take no chances with that though and always opt in each month.

Oddly enough I just enrolled my 5 year old son in Skysurfers and then for Miles Accelerator for August and hey presto - immediately got an email! Did same for my maid and the kids nanny except they were of course enrolled in Skywards and no email was sent to them.

I have been getting an email confirmation every month without fail. August is the first time this has not happened.

Seems to work for some and not for others.
At the beginning of this month I opted-in for myself and my wife.
Me first, confirmation but no email.
Wife next, confirmation and she received an email.
Checked message alerts on Skywards accounts - nothing.
Emailed Emirates and they replied asking for a screen print.
Sent the screen print but no reply - obviously put in the 'too much trouble basket'.
BTW, my wife has just reached gold status which shows on her account but she has not received her confirmation email for that which was normal for status upgrades. Maybe the computer is overworked.
